Are you a man who is struggling? Soldering on, bottling it up, keeping a stiff upper lip but running on fumes? Maybe you are taking risky decisions or behaving in a way that makes you feel ashamed? But fears going to speak to a therapist?
For many the very idea of going to see a therapist is an anxiety producing thought.
Sitting face to face with a stranger, bearing one’s soul and confronting the potential shame and humiliation that many men feel when opening-up is something I am very accustomed to and hope to mitigate.
I am an advocate in making therapy more accessible for men. I have spent years creating a male friendly space. Sometimes we do this through walking therapy, sometimes with a more directive therapy style, always with a non-judgemental and de-stigmatising attitude.
My doctoral research is in men and their experience in therapy, am a member of the British Psychological association’s Male Psychology Network and have worked with men across different ages, cultures, professions and sexualities.
Depression, anxiety, relationship breakdown, dealing with aggression, PTSD, suicidality, the effects of school/workplace bullying and sexuality.
Contact me for a free 15 min phone consultation to see how together we can make sense of how you are feeling and how to improve your life.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how therapy works, or to arrange an initial assessment appointment. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to therapy, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.
You can also call me on +44 7432215025 if you would prefer to leave a message or speak to me first. I am happy to discuss any queries or questions you may have prior to arranging an initial appointment.
All enquires are usually answered within 24 hours, and all contact is strictly confidential and uses secure phone and email services.
